Ensworth Athletes Named Players of the Year
Ensworth athletes Lilly Robertson and Ben Sonkin received High School Sports Awards Middle Tennessee in their respective sports.
Junior Lilly Robertson, who successfully defended her 100- and 200-yard freestyle titles at the TISCA state championships at Centennial Sportsplex, was named Girls Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Year. Although she has one more year left, Lilly has already committed to swim for the University of Tennessee.
Fresh from leading the Ice Tigers hockey team to a Predators Cup championship, Senior Ben Sonkin was named Hockey Player of the Year, sponsored by the Nashville Predators. In the Predators Cup finals, he scored a hat trick of three goals and earned tournament MVP honors.
